Stratford, PEI to Antagonish, NS
I awoke to the sight of a frog crawling across the roof of my tent and the sound of construction very close to me. I dressed, crawled out of my tent, and observed that the campsite I had found after dark the night before was not as ideal as I had hoped. I hastily packed up and hit the road.
I stopped a bit later to book my ferry ride from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland - a few days away but I couldn't really afford to get to the docks and find that there was no place for me until the next sailing.
I pedaled on, switching back and forth between hilly roads and flat Confederation Cycling Trail (on an old rail line of course).
I caught the Wood Islands ferry to to Nova Scotia and kept on trucking. I avoided the TransCanada Highway as best I could, but I eventually got tired of the back and forth, up and down that the alternative road entailed. Back on the Highway, I kept on until Antagonish, through the rain and the fog.
