Newburg Junction to Oromocto, NB
It rained forcefully and consistently well into the day and I kept inside my tent and read until it let up around noon.
The rains had swollen the creek significantly, and fording it with my bicycle wasn't really a safe option anymore. In retrospect, I should have crossed the night before... but oh well... I had a camp fire instead. No regrets.
I backtracked along the trail a few kilometres until I found a way onto the main road.
I passed through Frederiction at nightfall and pushed on to Oromocto, mostly keeping to bicycle path.
It was fairly late when I arrived at my destination, but luckily enough, I hadn't missed dinner and wine with my friend Iain and his wife Meghan.

Where is your 'thumbs down' picture of not choosing to cross?
"To push on in the evening, or take the quick route and rest..."
EASY ROUTE!
