Today was a late start, to say the least. I slept in and visited with Eric and finally managed to get on the bike at 16:30.
This worked out however, as I avoided the heat of mid-day.
There was a fair amount of road work on this stretch, but again, drivers were courteous.
Yes, as a cyclist I am entitled to a full lane, but that isn't how it always works in practice, nor is it necessarily the safest thing to do on all every type of road. Anyway, no angry honks, no one running me off the road, and generally a great deal of space given to me.
I pulled into Nipigon just after dark.
