Little Pic River to White Lake Provincial Park, ON
Dave was up and rolling a bit before myself this morning, but I ran into him on his ascent out of Marathon as I was descending in. It was a few kilometers off the main road, but I was short on supplies and needed to shop. Also, there was the look of rain and thunder about, so I was eager to hide somewhere dry with a drink rather than get drenched.
Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a waterfront pub, but I found a decent bar and restaurant along the main strip.
The rain eased up a bit around five and as there was still no thunderstorm, I climbed back on the bicycle.
I pedaled to White Lake Provincial Park, and as it was dark, I found a campsite there.
The price was $31.50, which seems a bit steep for a tiny tent and a bicycle, but it was a pleasant place... minus the hooha of a loud, late party somewhere nearby.
