Stonecliffe, ON to Shawville, QC
It was very chilly when I started out, and it remained overcast throughout the day - great weather to ride far in!
I continued to push a tad quicker than usual, hoping to make Montreal in time for the weekend so as to have more time with Shireen, my fiancee.
I passed by, but not through, the reactors around Chalk River and the base at Petawawa.
After Pembroke, I deeked off the TransCanada and onto county roads before crossing the Ottawa River by bridge and entering the province of Quebec. I didn't find an "official" sign, so I did as best I could and found a sign that at least said Quebec on it and snapped a picture.
It seems that of all the provinces so far, Quebec has the nicest deer warning signs.
I celebrated the new province with a warm meal and a drink in Shawville before finding a place to camp.
