We didn't wake up all too early this morning, but not all too late either and were on the road for 0930. A pit stop for coffee (Tyler) and stamps (Ian) yielded only stamps... and unfortunately the only stamps available were of the recent royal wedding.
Before noon we had crossed from Pacific Time to Mountain Time (Tyler's smart phone adjusting itself through the magic of Steve Jobs and Ian's watch being adjusted through the magic of Ian turning the dial). Photos were taken. Hooting was heard. An hour was lost.
We passed through the scenic Moyie Lake area, which along with being a magnet for vacationers also seems to be a busy spot for CP Rail. Local residents are petitioning for cell phone coverage, as it is currently a dead zone.
After some more fancy pedaling we pulled into an impromptu campsite just West of Elko, cooked up, set up, cleaned up, and tucked in before an impressive thunderstorm passed through, leaving Tyler's postcards moistened but the royal wedding stamps unscathed...
Location:East of Elko
